Could someone tell me if this behavior is a defect or a hardware limitation? I have two ODI DFP-34X-2C2 modules (one of them being revision DFP-34X-2IY3) with Realtek RTL8672 chipsets, purchased from AliExpress.
I use the modules in a MikroTik hEX S (RB760iGS) with RouterOS version v7.x.
The problem: I can access the web interface and Telnet normally while the fiber is connected and has a signal (synchronized). However, if I disconnect the fiber, I immediately lose access to the module and cannot even ping the IP 192.168.1.1.
My question: Is this normal for this chipset? Is there any Telnet command or MikroTik configuration to keep the module's LAN interface always enabled, allowing access even without a fiber signal?
