Summary
Unity uses OpenVR's raw controller poses, roughly equivalent to the aim pose rotated up 45° so it's facing up and away from the grip, like a sword. I have my tool anchors on my controllers rather than my avatar's hands and this mismatch makes laser interaction awkward.
Reproduction Steps
- Inspect
LeftController or RightController under your user root slot in VR
- The gizmo will be visibly positioned differently
