+## Project origins
+
+The LARA (Lab Automation Research Architecture) suite was originally conceived by
+**Mark Doerr** at the University of Greifswald, Germany.
+**Stefan Maak** (University of Greifswald / Uppsala University) developed the lab scheduler
+and is the primary maintainer of the core packages:
+`uuPythonlab`, `uulaborchestrator`, `uulabscheduler`, and related components.
+
