Solar2D 2026.3731 Latest for Mac doesn't have target 36 applied

I just downloaded the 2026.3731 for Mac and in the Project Template App, and I don't see the changes made in the PR #930 applied to this release.
Maybe something wrong with the build for Mac.

Any update on this? I have two apps I need to build and submit to the Play Store that need to target API 36.

@dethier1958 , I just updated the target API manually and it worked fine.

How does one manually specify the target API. I don't see anything in the documentation for the build settings. There's a minimum, but that says what devices it can be installed on.

You should update the build.gradle.kts inside your Android app folder. Update the compileSDK and targetSDK to 36. It worked to me.

When I build for the Play Store I get an apk, not a folder. So I tried changing the targetSdkVersion key inside the build.settings file. Looking at some of the code, it looks like they may now recognize that setting even though it's not documented.

How are you building? Can you explain? This file is a required and already existent file in the android app template that is used to build the project. It will be used by Android Studio to build the app.

I'm building using Corona Simulator on Mac OS. In any event, when I build, the resulting apk file has the target set to 36 according to an online apk inspector I found, which is what I need. So I should be able to submit that to the Play Store.
