### Bug Fixes

#### Handle 502 Bad Gateway errors in assign_to_agent handler by treating them as success. The cloud gateway may return 502 errors during agent assignment, but the assignment typically succeeds despite the error. The handler now logs 502 errors for troubleshooting but does not fail the workflow.

#### Add discussion interaction to smoke workflows and serialize the discussion

flag in safe-outputs handler config.

Smoke workflows now select a random discussion and post thematic comments to
validate discussion comment functionality. The compiler now emits the
`"discussion": true` flag in `GH_AW_SAFE_OUTPUTS_HANDLER_CONFIG` when a
workflow requests discussion output, and lock files include `discussions: write`
permission where applicable.

Running `gh aw add <package>` on a package that declares interactive config
steps in `aw.yml` now returns an error instead of installing with a TODO
placeholder message.

**Migration:**
- Replace `gh aw add <package>` with `gh aw add-wizard <package>` for any
  package that declares interactive config steps in `aw.yml`.
- If running in non-interactive automation, check whether the package supports
  a non-interactive installation path.

#### Remove `imports.if` from workflow frontmatter

`imports:` entries no longer accept an `if` condition. Conditional imports are
now rejected so the compiled workflow structure stays explicit and stable at
compile time.

**Migration:**
- Remove `if:` from `imports:` entries and keep imports unconditional
- For experiment-specific prompt variants, move the condition into the workflow
  body and use `{{#if ...}}` with `{{#runtime-import ...}}`

#### Terminology Change: "Agent Task" → "Agent Session"

The terminology for creating Copilot coding agent work items has been updated from "agent task" to "agent session" to better reflect their purpose and avoid confusion with other task concepts.

**Configuration Changes:**
- `create-agent-task` → `create-agent-session` in safe-outputs configuration
- `GITHUB_AW_AGENT_TASK_BASE` → `GITHUB_AW_AGENT_SESSION_BASE` environment variable

Run `gh aw fix` to automatically update your workflow files to use the new terminology. The deprecated `create-agent-task` key is still supported during the transition period with a deprecation warning.
