I was wondering if the instruction we are providing here: https://keepassxc.org/docs/#faq-string-fields are still accurate?

In particular, clarity on:

2. Go to your entry and add the following advanced attributes (the order is critical):

• KPH: Branch
• KPH: Account
• KPH: Sub-account

Based on personal experience, the advanced attributes are all sorted alphabetically which means this order shows as:

KPH: Account
KPH: Branch
KPH: Sub-account

So does that mean this breaks now, or that the order doesn't matter?

Ok, gotcha. I was looking at the doc because I was trying to find out why something wasn't working. So the order thing threw me a little. Looking at the link you sent, I love the GIFs, nice touch. I saw that you had a single extra field that was automatically labeled string field #1 but then it says KPH: extra field so how is it matching string #1 with extra field on the page? I keep feeling like there is step that is missing that is being assumed known to all or I am just being dense.

I tried using auto-type to fill in the values on a page that brought me here, and found that {S:Field} for example doesn't return the KPH: Field. So whatever gap is in how I am doing this, is the reason I assume this didn't work either? Any help figuring this out would be appreciated, thank you.

Autotype would be {S:KPH: Field}

String Field #1 refers to the first extra field in alphabetical order that is defined. We don't know what your string fields are when you set them in the browser and the names dont matter.

Ok, gotcha, thank you I clearly missed syntax slightly. However, bear with me. On the extra fields, they are sequentially named as you know, SF1,2,etc. and then you have additional fields you define as KPH, the problem I see where I am still confused is that the items you create are alphabetical as not sequential in the order the fields appear on the page or the order, so how can we get it to realize that x number of extra fields maps to x number of KPH items? Forgive the pain point, I am trying to fully grasp the mechanism and you've been generous with your time.
