Design reference findings

Godly.design

Godly.design presents a curated inspiration library with a compact icon-driven left navigation, a search control, category filters, and a dense responsive gallery of visual references. The page uses generous negative space around cards, restrained borders, small metadata rows, and a utility-oriented layout that makes browsing feel fast rather than promotional. Linear

Linear’s current product surface emphasizes a near-black canvas, a very restrained top navigation, compact typography, muted secondary labels, high information density, and a strong hierarchy between workspace chrome and the active content surface. The product UI uses a persistent sidebar with grouped navigation, clear active/favorite states, command/search affordances, and compact issue/detail panels. Its landing-page language reinforces the same themes: purpose-built, powered by agents, designed for speed, with minimal decoration and strong rhythm. Reference: https://linear.app/

Translation for AI Text Detector

The redesign direction should keep the detector’s privacy-first green/cyan identity but move it toward a Linear-like workspace: a compact command bar, quieter background treatment, sharper content hierarchy, denser result panels, small monospace metadata, fewer oversized marketing elements above the fold, and clearer primary/secondary action states. The analyzer should remain the central workspace, with a compact utility rail or summary strip for engine status, document stats, verdict, and history. Motion should be subtle and fast, with reduced-motion support preserved. The visual language should be inspired by the observed patterns rather than copying proprietary branding or assets.

Local redesign smoke test

The redesigned frontend rendered successfully with the new hero copy, compact workspace overview, analysis-workspace label, sharper panel hierarchy, and local engine status. The browser retained a previous light-theme preference during the first reload, so the test cleared that preference to verify the intended dark default for new sessions. The main analyzer remained keyboard and browser-accessible, and existing controls still rendered with their original IDs and labels.

Theme verification note

The first visual reload continued to show a light surface because the browser had a previously persisted theme=light session preference. The application fallback has now been explicitly set to dark for new sessions, while the existing theme toggle continues to respect a user’s saved choice. A final clean-session reload is still used to verify the dark default visually.

Fresh-session result

After removing the persisted theme preference and reloading, the interface opens on a dark graphite canvas with a mint primary accent, compact top bar, split hero/workspace overview, dense analysis workspace, and subdued panel borders. This is the intended Linear-inspired default while preserving the user-controlled light-theme toggle.

End-to-end interaction check

In the redesigned dark workspace, the built-in AI sample loaded correctly, live input feedback showed a healthy 95-word state, and Analyze rendered the verdict card, confidence meter, sentence annotations, signal grid, recent history, and copy/export controls. The result surface now reads as a dense, focused work area rather than a marketing page while retaining the original interaction contract.
