Having a permissions "Unknown" status

Hi,

Not sure if this is possible and if the documentation is out there for it, but I've noticed there are only two modes of Permissions right now based on the capability: TSC.Permission.Mode.Allow and TSC.Permission.Mode.Deny.

Within the GUI application, there is a way to have an unknown status for the capability, but I haven't seen it within this library. Is there a way to make the mode "Unknown"?

If not, will this be in an upcoming feature?

Hi @mbabatunde you should be able to call delete on that specific capability to mimic the GUI behavior. The commented lines at the bottom of this sample is specific to deleting workbook default permissions, but is an example of the syntax.

@shinchris Hi Chris, thanks for the response. Within the GUI, you can have the mode be unspecified for users and groups (i.e. you don't have to explicitly deny the user). However, within the documentation for the REST API and the API docs, you can only have Allow or Deny, no empty string or unspecified/unknown.

Is there anyway to do this?

As you stated, REST API doesn't return unspecified capabilities so you would need to loop through the list of capabilities and see which ones are missing.

This would be an enhancement in TSC to detect and better represent the unspecified capabilities.
