@Addicted-To-The-Shindig Thanks for the detailed write-up. Where it stands: tasks only repeat on a fixed schedule. The random pick you mention exists only in the meal plan, where it fills the week from your recipes. What you describe has three parts: a pool of ideas, a draw on a schedule, and a cooldown so the same idea does not come back too soon. The question I would want to settle first is who the drawn item is for: one person, everyone, or whoever takes it. A "call grandma" nudge works differently from a household challenge. Nothing is decided yet and there is no date. Until then, a list in Notes with the ideas plus one recurring "Daily impulse" task is the closest you get, though you pick the item yourself. |

Currently, recurring tasks trigger on fixed schedules, but there is no built-in mechanism to draw random entries dynamically from an idea pool. While routine chores are strictly scheduled, social prompts or mindful micro-tasks (e.g., calling family members, short relationship nudges, or small household challenges) work best when delivered at semi-random intervals without strict calendar coupling.

Additional context
Similar to the existing randomization logic used in the meal planner for weekly recipe suggestions, extending a randomized selector to a general pool of micro-tasks/prompts would add a playful, low-pressure dynamic alongside fixed appointments and standard to-dos.
