MyAlgo Wallet connects to Algorand mainnet by default. [VERIFY — confirm whether the desktop app exposes an in-app mainnet/testnet switch, or whether testnet access is developer-only via the WalletConnect dApp integration path.]
| Data | Location |
|---|---|
| Private keys | OS credential store — Windows Credential Vault, macOS Keychain, Linux Secret Service (libsecret) |
| App config | [VERIFY — e.g. %APPDATA%\MyAlgo Wallet\ on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/MyAlgo Wallet/ on macOS, ~/.config/MyAlgo Wallet/ on Linux] |
| Logs | [VERIFY — confirm log directory per platform] |
| Backups | [VERIFY — confirm if the app writes any local backup files, or whether seed-phrase backup is entirely user-managed offline] |
MyAlgo cannot recover a lost seed phrase — there is no account, no password reset, and no server-side backup. The seed phrase is shown once during wallet creation; storing it securely offline afterward is the user's responsibility. MyAlgo never sees, transmits, or has any way to retrieve it.
Transaction signing happens entirely within the application's process memory; unsigned transactions never leave the device. The application transmits no identifying telemetry.
