🧠 What I Learned

Building this project helped me deeply understand important backend concepts in a real-world scenario, specifically:

• Race Conditions: Ensuring that if multiple teams try to register simultaneously for a problem statement that has only one slot left, the system handles it correctly and doesn't exceed the capacity limit.
• Concurrency & Congestion Control: Managing database constraints (like PostgreSQL Unique Violations 23505) and frontend states gracefully during high-traffic bursts when everyone tries to register at the exact same time.
• Data Integrity: Using Supabase to guarantee that duplicate team names or emails are hard-rejected at the database level, preventing corrupted or double registrations.
