Industrial environments face significant risks from hazardous gases, high temperatures, humidity, alcohol vapors, and vibrations. This project presents a low-cost, scalable IoT-based SCADA system that continuously monitors these parameters in real time using smart sensors and a NodeMCU/ESP8266 Wi-Fi module. Sensor data is transmitted to ThingSpeak cloud for live visualization and remote access. Automated alerts are generated via buzzer and on-site LCD when thresholds are exceeded.
| Component | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Arduino UNO (ATmega328P) | Main microcontroller for sensor reading & processing |
| ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module | Wireless data transmission to ThingSpeak cloud |
| MQ2 Gas Sensor | Detects combustible/smoke gases |
| MQ3 Alcohol Sensor | Detects alcohol vapors |
| DHT11 Sensor | Measures temperature and humidity |
| Vibration Sensor | Detects mechanical vibrations |
| 16×2 LCD (I2C) | Real-time local data display |
| Active Buzzer | Audible alert on threshold breach |
| Power Supply (5V) | Powers the entire system |
