🚀 Featured Projects

Self-built home SOC environment developed in structured phases — Splunk SIEM, Windows/Sysmon telemetry, and a Kali Linux attacker across an isolated network — built to practice end-to-end detection, investigation, and incident response.

  • Designed and deployed an isolated 3-VM lab (Splunk/SIEM host, Windows 11 endpoint, Kali attacker) on a VMware host-only network
  • Documented the lab architecture with network diagrams
  • Following a 13-phase build roadmap — log collection, detection engineering, attack simulation, incident response, Active Directory, threat intelligence, and SOC automation (Phase 0 of 13 complete)

Tech: VMware Workstation · Splunk · Windows/Sysmon · Kali Linux

Splunk-based SOC investigation completed through the TryHackMe SOC Simulator.

  • Investigated and triaged phishing alerts using email and firewall telemetry
  • Correlated evidence to identify malicious URLs and affected endpoints
  • Classified alerts as true or false positives and assessed escalation requirements
  • Documented IOCs, affected entities, timelines, findings, and remediation recommendations

Tech: Splunk · Phishing Analysis · Alert Triage · IOC Analysis · Incident Documentation

Modular command-line vulnerability assessment tool developed as an individual internship capstone.

  • Host discovery and port scanning using raw TCP sockets and Nmap
  • Service identification through banner grabbing
  • CVE correlation via the NIST NVD REST API v2, with CVSS v3.1 scoring
  • Structured scan reporting, tested against Metasploitable2 on an isolated VirtualBox host-only network

Tech: Python · Nmap · TCP Sockets · NIST NVD API · CVSS v3.1
