The Virus Treatment Centers National Laboratory (VTCNL) is a collaborative research initiative in Seattle, WA. The laboratory unifies academia, military medicine, and medical defense to accelerate biosafety level containment, biomedical computing, and clinical countermeasures.
Our mission is realized through the strategic partnership of three leading institutions:
- University of Washington: World-class genomic research, academic virology, and translational medicine.
- USAMRICD: Advanced chemical and biological defense research and containment expertise.
- Navy BUMED: Operational readiness, global clinical networks, and military health integration.
- ⚡ High-Containment Computing: Open-source architectures for BSL-3/BSL-4 air-handling telemetry, negative-pressure automation, and environmental monitoring.
- 🧬 Bioinformatics & Genomics: Standardized pipelines for real-time pathogen sequencing, variant modeling, and computational virology.
- 🛡️ Medical Defense Software: Secure, federated data-sharing platforms linking civilian academic networks with military operational health databases.
- 📦 Bio-Supply Chain Logistics: Systems to track, verify, and route critical countermeasures, PPE, and reagents during public health crises.
- 🔲 Phase I: Core Infrastructure Architecture & Site Configuration (Seattle, WA)
- 🔲 Phase II: Secure Federated Network Framework Design
- 🔲 Phase III: Open-Source Bioinformatics Pipeline Release
