OS X: The current XCode project file targets a more general location for the wx install. The first target is a native dev build. Build wx with --enable-debug and install it (or point a link to it from) $HOME/wx/wx-debug. For the universal build you need to generate a universal library (I use the wx XCode project for this) and install it in $HOME/wx/wx-universal/.
Debian:
- Use pbuilder to build the binary packages. First on a system install pbuilder and cdebootstrap from etch Create the base image with pbuilder create --mirror http://mirror.scl.ameslab.gov/debian --distribution etch
- Build the package with pbuilder build wxmacmolplt_6.3.1-1.dsc (results are in /var/cache/pbuilder/results)
- before rolling a new debian source build update the debian/changelog file with dch -v 6.3.1-1
- run debuild.
- Move packages to debian/dists/testing/main/binary...
- Update using dpkg-scanpackages dists/testing/main/binary-i386/ /dev/null | gzip -9c > dists/testing/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz or run the scripts/update.sh script.
rpm based distros (FC5 and 6 and Mandriva)
- (edit the spec file to pick the sections that are different for FC and Mandriva)
- place the source tar file in /usr/src/rpm/SOURCES and have the spec file handy
- rpmbuild -ba --buildroot /root/buildroot wxMacMolPlt.rpm.spec
- retrieve the rpms from /usr/src/rpm/
