Start with the problem, not the stack. Before writing a line of code I ask: is this worth building? Who has this problem? How bad is it? I've killed features midway through because the answer changed. That's not wasted time — that's the job.
Use AI to move fast, not to think less. Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini CLI — in my workflow every day. To ship faster. Not to replace the product decisions that matter. The thinking still has to be mine.
Ship before it's perfect. Every product I've built has gone to real users before it was ready. Real feedback from one user beats a month of assumptions every time.
