About The Project

Ever wondered what to do with your unused old iPad, pc monitor or tv screen? This project turns your old device into a stylish and decorative text clock.

Getting Started

The project uses a simple website that automatically checks the size and aspect ratio of the current screen and then calculates a way to show a good time that fits the screen as pleasant as possible.

Prerequisites

You can use any display or screen that can show a webpage - no matter if it's an old PC monitor fed by a raspberry pi or an unused tablet, iPad oder smartphone. You can also use this clock on your daily-used computer and let it live in a seperate browser tab.

All you need to do ist to open the following webpage in a browser and toggle it into full-screen mode.

Installation

No installation needed, however you can downoad this repository for offline use if you want to.

Operation

You can control it via keyboard or touch screen.

• Press f or swipe up or down to toggle full screen mode.
• Press c or swipe right or left to toggle color mode.
• Press v to see version.
• Press r to re-arrange.
