The README now tells Claude and ChatGPT users to install FactIQ from its listing in the official Claude directory and the official ChatGPT plugin directory. Before, it told them to add this repository as a custom marketplace. Installing from this repository is still documented, as a second option.

The README described only the custom-marketplace install

FactIQ is now listed at claude.ai/directory/factiq and in the ChatGPT plugin directory. The README did not mention either listing. It also said that ChatGPT works only in the desktop app. The directory listing works on the web as well.

What changed

README, Claude section.

Before:

For the best experience, use Cowork. In Claude, open Customize → Plugins, add defog-ai/factiq-plugin as a personal marketplace, install FactIQ, and complete the browser sign-in.

After:

FactIQ is listed in the official Claude directory. Open claude.ai/directory/factiq while signed in to Claude, click Connect, complete the FactIQ sign-in, and start a new chat. You can also find it under Customize → Plugins by searching for FactIQ.

To install from this repository instead, open Customize → Plugins, add defog-ai/factiq-plugin as a personal marketplace, install FactIQ, and complete the browser sign-in.

README, ChatGPT section. The heading changes from "ChatGPT Desktop" to "ChatGPT (web and desktop)".

Before:

In the ChatGPT desktop app, open Plugins, add defog-ai/factiq-plugin as a marketplace, install FactIQ from the Personal tab, and complete the browser sign-in. Custom plugins currently require a ChatGPT Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu plan.

After:

FactIQ is listed in the official ChatGPT plugin directory. Open the FactIQ listing while signed in to ChatGPT, click Install plugin, complete the FactIQ sign-in, and start a new chat. … This works on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans, on the web and in the desktop app.

To install from this repository instead, open Plugins in the ChatGPT desktop app … This path works only in the desktop app, on a Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu plan.

The intro and the client table now say "ChatGPT (web and desktop)" and "Web and desktop app".

SETUP.md. The Claude web, desktop and Cowork section now says how to proceed when FactIQ is not installed yet: open claude.ai/directory/factiq and click Connect. This installs the plugin and starts the sign-in in one step.

Tests. The README check now expects "ChatGPT (web and desktop)" in place of "ChatGPT Desktop". It also expects the Claude directory link.

Checks

python3 -m pytest tests/ -q: 80 passed.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

FactIQ is listed in the official Claude directory and the ChatGPT plugin directory. The README now gives those listings as the main install path for Claude and ChatGPT, and keeps the install from this repository as a second option. SETUP.md tells Claude how to send a user to the directory listing when FactIQ is not installed yet.
