The plugin docs now say that FactIQ holds IPO registration statements and final prospectuses for US-listed companies, and they say how to read them. The data was already returned by the tools, but the docs did not name these filings, so a model that followed the docs had no reason to ask for them.
The docs left out filings that the tools already return
For companies that went public recently, FactIQ reads the S-1 or F-1 registration statement and the 424B4 or 424B1 final prospectus. From them it returns statement figures for the years before the company's first periodic report, the offering terms (price range, shares offered, proceeds), the management discussion, and the risk-factor headings. The skill and the
filingsschema reference listed only 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 20-F, 40-F and 6-K.Two docs change, plus the version
skills/factiq/SKILL.md, thesearch_company_filingsrow: names the registration statement and final prospectus, addsoffering_termsto themetric_classvalues, and says thatreport_type="424B4"withsearch_target="commentary"reads only the prospectus.references/data/schemas.md, thefilingsrow: names the new forms; describes thesec_registrationandsec_offeringdataset codes; says thatfiling_claimsandfiling_risksalso hold prospectus rows; and says thatdescribe_datasetdoes not describe these two codes, so they are read throughsearch_company_filingsorrun_sqlonsource_series.plugin.jsonfiles.Evidence: the documented calls work today
Same company (Lyntris, LYNX, IPO in August 2026):
search_company_filings(company="LYNX", search_target="facts", metric_class="offering_terms", format="pretty")search_company_filings(company="LYNX", search_target="commentary", report_type="424B4", limit=2, format="pretty")run_sql(schema="filings", sql="SELECT dataset_code, count(*) FROM filings.source_series WHERE dataset_code IN ('sec_registration','sec_offering') GROUP BY 1")returns 3,937sec_registrationseries and 2,480sec_offeringseries.describe_dataset("filings", "sec_registration")returns "No dataset", which is why the schema reference names the other route.Details
