…gap catalog, §7.7 vectors Prep only; KCC-12 (kaspanet/kccs#24) is still a Draft and is not implemented. - window.kastle.request now also accepts { method, params }. The object form rejects unknown methods with 4200; the positional form is unchanged (unknown still resolves undefined), so existing dApps don't break. - Event map gains connect({ networkId }), emitted once on kastle#initialized when a listener is registered, and disconnect (typed, not emitted: no remote-loss signal exists for the page yet). - injected.ts names the single provider instance; window.kastle is its vendor alias for future kaspa:announceProvider discovery. - docs/kcc12-prep.md: method catalog vs KCC-12 required set, serialization audit (already emits uint64 strings + covenantId/covenant/computeBudget, no change), signInputs audit (hot wallet PARTIAL, Ledger NO). - test/fixtures/kcc12-signature-scripts.json: §7.7 vectors, verbatim + pin. - tests/provider-shape.spec.ts drives the built injected.js in Chromium. The indexer's figures are never trusted: a balance counts only if the node holds that outpoint at P2SH(redeem) under the token's covenant id and the decoded state is spendable by this wallet. Name/symbol/decimals/logo come from the KRON registry entry, used only when kron-sdk's verifyTokenListEntry finds that covenant id on the entry's genesis tx. Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to ddfaf
Provider consumers may receive the wrong network or miss connection readiness, and the dashboard can overstate a KCC-20 balance. Fix these paths before merging.
Security Architecture Review
Security architecture risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to ddfaf
The new holdings verification substantially limits false token claims, but inconsistent outpoint identity handling can let a manipulated indexer response inflate a displayed balance. The affected integration is display-only, which limits the consequence; no new signing authority or provider permission bypass was identified.
Retained concerns
- Medium · security · inferred: The new verified-balance boundary permits canonical outpoint reuse. Claims keyed by differently cased transaction IDs survive deduplication, but the SDK selector resolves both to the same live UTXO. Both decoded amounts can then be counted, allowing a manipulated indexer response to inflate a balance despite successful ownership and live-chain checks.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
- inferred — A compromised indexer response could affect displayed KCC-20 balances across Mainnet wallets using the shared endpoint. For each affected holding, the response still needs an eligible wallet-owned live UTXO and verified token metadata. The demonstrated consequence is display integrity, not key access, cross-account signing, or transaction broadcast.
Security Findings and Attack Paths
- inferred — An indexer response can repeat an eligible outpoint using lowercase and uppercase transaction IDs. Both raw keys survive the claim map, both canonicalize to the same live outpoint, and both amounts are added. The SDK returns indexer results without canonical deduplication, so this path does not require RPC or registry compromise.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
- observed — The content bridge derives host identity from the page location, and background dispatch requires a sender tab. The inspected signing handler checks host connection and current-account identity. These controls predate the PR and are unchanged in the comparison; provider connect notification does not replace them.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
- observed — Verification failures fail closed for newly computed holdings, and account addresses separate cache keys. The hook has no explicit RPC-generation or cancellation guard, while the existing context replaces clients during settings changes. Recovery freshness remains a coverage gap rather than an established authorization bypass.
Hardening Proposals
- proposed — Use one validated canonical outpoint identity for deduplication and live matching, and enforce that each live outpoint contributes at most once. Exercise case, prefix, whitespace, and repeated-response variants at the full balance-verification boundary.

Preserve a network-change notification over the initial fetch.
The initial GET_NETWORK response can arrive after kas:network_changed. If it contains the earlier network ID, the completion handler overwrites _networkId and emits connect with that stale ID. Keep the notified ID for connect.

Kaspa KCC-12 draft KCC-0012 connect event connected networkId event definition
💡 Result:
In the **KCC-0012 draft** at commit `7159d48` (September 20, 2026), the provider’s `connect` event carries a `ProviderConnectInfo` object:
```ts
interface ProviderConnectInfo {
readonly networkId: NetworkId;
}
```
The wallet **MUST emit it when the provider becomes connected**—both on first initialization and after a `disconnect` event. `networkId` identifies the current Kaspa network. The draft defines connectivity as being able to service RPC requests for at least one network. ([github.com](https://github.com/kaspanet/kccs/blob/7159d487db2e2413b4ac245c4893a4ac0dd640f9/kcc-0012.md))
This is a **draft**, not a finalized standard: KCC-0012 is marked “Draft” and is part of an open pull request. ([github.com](https://github.com/kaspanet/kccs/blob/7159d487db2e2413b4ac245c4893a4ac0dd640f9/kcc-0012.md))

Emit connect when a later request first establishes the network.
If the initialization-time getNetwork() rejects, its catch discards the error. Later successful getNetwork() or request("kas:get_network") calls return the network without updating _networkId. A kas:network_changed message updates _networkId but does not emit connect. Listeners already registered can therefore miss connect; replay only reaches listeners added after the ID is stored.
The KCC-12 draft requires connect when the provider becomes connected. The local documentation describes the initialization case but does not exclude recovery. Update the network state and emit connect once when any of these paths first learns a non-null network ID.

🌐 Web query:
@kronsdk/kron-sdk 0.18.2 tokenUtxos IndexerClient selectCovenantTokenOutpoint implementation outpoint transactionId
💡 Result:
In **`@kronsdk/kron-sdk` 0.18.2**, `selectCovenantTokenUtxo(entries, tokenCovid)` returns the matching indexer entry—not a newly constructed outpoint. Use that entry’s `transactionId` and `index` for the input; read its actual carrier value from `amount`. The selector matches by covenant-token lineage and fails closed if there’s no unique match; it does **not** select by KAS value. ([github.com](https://github.com/KronSDK/kron-sdk/blob/main/docs/INTEGRATING-KCC20-UTXOS.md))
```ts
const entries = await indexer.tokenUtxos(/* address / args */);
const hit = covenantSelect.selectCovenantTokenUtxo(entries, tokenCovid);
if (!hit) throw new Error('not found or ambiguous');
const outpoint = {
transactionId: hit.transactionId,
index: hit.index,
};
const inputValue = BigInt(hit.amount);
```
The docs confirm the outpoint fields (`transactionId`, `index`) and warn that the sample’s hard-coded value is wrong; use the selected entry’s real value. I couldn’t verify the exact `IndexerClient.tokenUtxos` call signature from the available source excerpt. ([github.com](https://github.com/KronSDK/kron-sdk/blob/main/docs/INTEGRATING-KCC20-UTXOS.md))

Canonicalize transaction IDs before deduplicating claims.
When the indexer returns two entries for one outpoint with transaction IDs that differ only by hex case, claimed keeps both raw-string keys. selectCovenantTokenOutpoint normalizes both IDs, so each entry can match the same live UTXO and add its amount. The dashboard can then show an inflated holding.
Suggested fix

In verifiedBalance, deduplicate claims by canonical transaction ID so case
variants of the same outpoint cannot contribute more than once. Normalize
transactionId with the existing covenantSelect normalization helper, skip it if
normalization fails, and use the normalized ID for both the claimed map key and
stored outpoint.
