Downscale and re-encode the 78 oversized photos (previously up to 22MB each) to the 50-500KB range, preserving aspect ratio, and convert the 2 PNG photos to JPEG for real compression gains. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Summary
Known issue
The Hesse Mechatronics and College 9 Senate (UCSC wordmark) logos are on white/opaque backgrounds, so they render as white boxes against the site's dark sponsor cards. I couldn't find official transparent versions from either source. These should be swapped for transparent PNGs (e.g. run through a proper background-removal tool) before this looks fully polished — flagging for follow-up rather than blocking the tier/roster update.
