Giovanni Antoniazzi

Geospatial data scientist at Studio Bereikbaar (Rotterdam), a mobility consultancy. I build the data platform behind our accessibility and mobility analyses: PostGIS, OGC APIs, QGIS tooling, and the maps that come out of it. Our open work lives at github.com/Studio-Bereikbaar.

As a volunteer I am vice-chair of Back-on-Track, the European network for night trains, and look after its open data.

What I work on

  • Open Night Train Database – an open, licensed dataset of Europe's night-train network, published as a Portolan catalog (Back-on-Track-eu)
  • night-train-target-network – economic model for a future European night-train network
  • OpenRitardi – train delay visualisation for Italy, built on open data
  • maptoposter – maintained fork: minimalist city map posters from OSM (sea rendering, GPX routes, point markers)
  • Portolan catalogs – cloud-native geospatial publishing with portolan-sdi; Studio Bereikbaar and Back-on-Track catalogs are in the registry
