glitch after the effect when opening a new window in full screen

some windows that are apps non native to the cinammon such as settings of cinammon or this but google chrome...after the cool effect ...it seems like it glitches and moves on last moment instantly slightly below and right ...its somehow annoying

After further examination this is a problem for every effect but only when someone tries to spawn a new window in full screen...it is not a problem when windows are being spawned minimised!!!

I see the same thing, but only with Chrome. I was thinking it was some Chrome issue, but I will look into it and see if it has some link to BurnMyWindows.

this is true , indeed vs code and bitwarden opens cleanly

right now i have noticed something...effect worked but when i open first time...no effect happens...right after that thought... it works excellent

I disabled all effects (BurnMyWindows and Cinnamon's default effects, system-setting->Effects->"Desktop and window effect"->Off) and I see Chrome doing some odd bouncing around the page content on restore (unminimizing). I believe that what you are seeing with Chrome is just some bug in Chrome. I haven't seen any other application with the same issue.

You can see the different most dramatically when you have Firefox and Chrome both on the same website. Minimize and restore Chrome repeatedly and see how the page is bouncing around on restore most of the time. Then minimize Chrome and do the same minimize/restore for the Firefox window and you will see no such bouncing around on restore.

I think I see the same problem in Chrome even when the default Cinnamon effects are used, but it's a bit harder to see given the type of effect Cinnamon uses.

I have seen the same thing on occasion when it takes a long time for an application to open it's window. Once it's opened the 1st time, restarting the application takes a lot less time and the animation works after that. Is that what you are seeing?

yep this is true it happens...some apps that take lots of time to startup does not show the animation but after that it appears to work.also mentioning that i really appreciate your efforts but now i have kubuntu so i am no longer on linux mint...i am here to help u with what i remember...so yes what u said is true its happening
