I completed a summer research internship at Trinity College Dublin under Professor Johanna Vos during the summer of my 2nd year.
I used Python to analyse data for a 12.7 Jupiter mass free-floating exoplanet SIMP0136 from the James Webb Space Telescope Cycle 2 Program 3548 (https://www.stsci.edu/jwst-program-info/program/?program=3548)
Implemented computational techniques to analyse the atmosphere of the directly imaged exoplanet SIMP 0136 using data from the James Webb Space Telescope’s NIRSpec and MIRI instruments. I developed Python algorithms to process large exoplanet data observations using NumPy, Matplotlib, astropy and scikit-learn libraries and constructed light curves that confirmed exoplanet’s rotation period of 2.4 hours.
