Give simulated personas free web search and source-page excerpts with Parallel Search MCP. Search uses Fast mode, with no Parallel account or API key needed.
Install
.[web-search], createTinyWebSearch(owner=person), and attach it throughTinyToolUse. Parallel is the new tool's default backend; existing personas and tools keep their behavior. The tool preserves ownership and disabled settings, stores source evidence in persona memory, and keeps a research ID across related searches and fetches. The guide includes an explicit dispatcher example and controls for starting a new research conversation.I work at Parallel.
