Reproduction Steps

After updating to 0.41.0-724-g71ebd0840, when a video ends, the window doesn't close automatically.

Expected Behavior

When the play is finished, the window should close.

Actual Behavior

The window remains open.

I carefully read all instruction and confirm that I did the following:

• I tested and confirmed that the issue exists with the latest release version or newer.
• I provided all required information including system and mpv version.
• I produced the log file with the exact same set of files, parameters, and conditions used in "Reproduction Steps", with the addition of --log-file=output.txt.
• I produced the log file while the behaviors described in "Actual Behavior" were actively observed.
• I attached the full, untruncated log file.
• I attached the backtrace in the case of a crash.

Thanks. I now added that to mpv.conf and it resolves it. But I would still expect the window to close automatically anyway.

What GUI application on windows closes by itself? Why expect that?

We have constant reports of mpv "crashing" when it is just closing window after opening a file or failing to open one. It is way easier to comprehend for users when window stay open and they can inspect console with log if needed.

Shouldn't keep-open=no close the window on video playback end? This was the default, it no longer functions.

Currently, I have to manually close the window before double clicking the next file to play. Is this confusion/overlap with playlist function?

I think it might be a good idea to mention this new behavior in the documentation close to keep-open, I wasn't able to find it there last time I checked.

Still dose not seems to work i.e. to say on windows 10 if i open a video file via double clicking on to it. however it dose work if i open it via command line ex: "mpv video.mp4" i am using the latest version of mpv. i have tested both "keep-open=no" and "idle=once" to my mpv.conf also i am using the portable version.

Well, it was working again with idle=once I just updated mpv and now it's broken again. Using this last option made no difference.
