it would be nice there was a validation action to check if the string is trimmed.

Looking at the existing validation action names , here are some naming ideas that would fit the established conventions:

Predicate-style (like empty, finite, nonEmpty):

• trimmed — simple, consistent with adjective-style names like empty, finite, decimal

"is" prefix (like isoDate, isoTime):

• Note: Valibot doesn't actually use an is prefix for any validation action. The iso* actions refer to ISO standards, not a boolean "is" pattern. So isTrimmed would break convention.

"not" prefix for the inverse (like notValue, notLength):

• notTrimmed — if you wanted the inverse check

"startsWith"/"endsWith" pattern:

• These already exist but validate specific substrings, not whitespace

My recommendation: trimmed fits best. It follows the same adjective/past-participle pattern seen in existing actions like empty, finite, decimal, and octal. It's concise, self-explanatory, and pairs naturally with the trim transformation — just as empty pairs conceptually with content-related transformations.

A secondary option could be noWhitespace or trimmedStart / trimmedEnd if you wanted more granular variants, but trimmed covers the most common use case cleanly.
