This is a staging area to test Linux casks builds of things we want. It is intended to show that homebrew casks on linux work great. This repository's metric of success is when the applications in here are deleted. This also ships artwork and OEM tools that are better managed in userspace than on an image.
Homebrew has asked us to run this as a tap as opposed to PRing these into individual projects, and that will take some work so in the meantime we can test.
We have some in-progress, but not quite finished formulas and casks in an experimental tap. If you wish to experiment or provide feedback, check it out. Please send pull requests first, this is the production tap!
IDEs like Jetbrains and VSCode. They don't run well out of flatpaks so we put them on their own images. This lets the user also opt-into vscode instead of having it on a -dx image even if you don't use it.

This cask uses Project Bluefin's ChairLift.
It supports x86_64 and ARM64 Linux and requires GTK 4 and libadwaita 1 from the
host OS. The cask installs the GUI and user-local desktop assets only.
Privileged features need the matching projectbluefin-chairlift-system-integration
package from upstream releases
provided by the OS image or installed by an administrator. Bootc staging also
needs the OS-provided /usr/libexec/bootc-update-stage helper.
The bundled configuration targets Snow Linux. Distributions can override it in
/etc/chairlift/config.yml, which this cask leaves untouched.
Existing ublue-os/tap/chairlift installations can switch to the Project Bluefin
release with brew upgrade --cask ublue-os/tap/chairlift. The cask name is unchanged.
If migrating from the Frostyard tap, uninstall its cask first to avoid conflicting binaries and desktop files, then install the fully qualified cask from this tap:
brew uninstall --cask frostyard/tap/chairlift
brew install --cask ublue-os/tap/chairliftMetadata for GNOME is usually there.
