I have this recipe:
if $interface[subnet][vlanid] == 600 {
network_route { 'multicast redirect':
ensure => 'present',
interface => $interface[identifier],
gateway => $interface[ip],
netmask => '255.255.255.255',
network => '224.0.0.1',
}
}
And I changed it to:
if $interface[subnet][vlanid] == 600 {
network_route { 'multicast redirect':
ensure => 'present',
interface => $interface[identifier],
gateway => $interface[ip],
netmask => '240.0.0.0',
network => '224.0.0.0',
}
}
And I got:
$ cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/route-eno1.600
# HEADER: This file is being managed by puppet. Changes to

224.0.0.0/4 via 172.16.160.10 dev eno1.600
IMHO, I think it would be better if the old route was removed, or am I missing something?
